Agriculture Application of CEE*QUEST Products ENCEE Chemical manufactures a line of sodium glucoheptonate products that go by the name CEE*QUEST. These products are biodegradable chelates that you use to manufacture micronutrients from. Using the CEE*QUEST products you can make a 5% Iron, 9% Zinc, 5% Manganese, 6% Copper, 3% Magnesium, 8% Calcium, and 3% Boron, or a mixture of these. We have formulated products as well. One key question in agriculture is, do you need phosphate stability. If you do you will need to ask for CEE*QUEST 758 based products. CEE*QUEST Chelating Agents in Agricultural Applications Metals such as iron, copper, zinc, manganese, calcium and magnesium are essential for normal plant growth and development. Deficiencies of metals can develop due to inadequate amounts in the soil or poor availability of the metal under normal conditions. To correct deficiencies, chelated metals can be added to foliar or soil feeding programs for plants. Once chelated, the metal is made available to the plant. Chelating agents have varying abilities to chelate metals. A comparison of the amount of chelating agent required to chelate one pound of metal is shown below.
